UK Police and Judiciary out of control?

The left want a Police force that kneels like them.....unless it's something right wing, which they want prosecuted and are happy with any excuse most of the time.

I haven't looked into this story but I imagine this is about weeding out any of the Police who still have testosterone within them that isn't purely directed for the benefit of leftist ideology..

Back when I was a lad the Police weren't woke......it took Tory governments bending the knee to start the woke process, then Blair and Brown really finished the job by making all the Police management social liberals and and pushing through the Macpherson Report reforms that really damaged the force. The Tories response to it was weak which reflected the social liberals that they are.

People who would have joined the force to become coppers saw that that it's now politicised and loves rainbow flags and DEI ideology. It warmly embraced the hate crimes madness and many people were arrested out of this damaging ideology and are on lists....like me.

The police are an institution that shouldn't be left or right but just old fashioned crime focused. But the cultural victory of the left that's been apparent these last fifty years has slowly turned our Police into a parody that is ridiculed over parts of the world.

These are sad times, but there is a fightback, because all this was done without ever asking the actual population.....who were never majority woke, but had it forced onto them.

So we now know about how much safer London is under Khan. As some of us acknowledged murder is down which is a good thing but other serious crimes are way up.

Nice one Khan.
I would even like to refute that murder is down. It seems incredibly unlikely. I suspect figures are skewed by massaging sentencing for things like manslaughter or death due to diminished responsibility. The courts were not so willing to listen to all of the mitigating factors previously. Now, they're almost instructed to look for them.
Any look or walk around more or less anywhere in London will show you crime is miles up. Believe your own eyes, not the wanker gaslighter Khan. Walk anywhere in London and see how long it is before you see a criminal offense. It takes a maximum of thirty seconds in Croydon. Maybe 10 minutes in Bromley. Is that just the same as the past? No it f***ing isn't.

Lunchtime Car drivers , sitting in a traffic jam in South London, and casually swigging from a beer bottle while texting., music blasting.....well its all just part-and-parcel of living in a big city.

An absolutely superb post sir. Bang on the money in every respect.

My one observation is that yes, the police as an institution should be neutral / apolitical…’without fear or favour, malice or ill will’, but it’s difficult (nigh on impossible) to serve for 30 years without it affecting your views on certain things, certain policies and certain people. It’s called neuroplasticity and is a scientific fact. I know that’s an individual pathway but without external influence or interference it will also affect an organisation as a whole.

This unlawful activity is becoming more and more prevalent. The travellers are now buying plots of land and then occupying them and applying for retrospective planning permission. The new Labour government amended the planning policy for traveller sites in December 2024 and this policy change has resulted in a significant surge in illegal traveller sites. The Tandridge District Council area is suffering horrendously at the present time.

Did anyone see the masked coppers outside Selhurst after the Fiorentina game?
Pretty sure that's not allowed. They can only mask up for specialised operations, public order incidents, or protective, safety-critical roles.
Nothing was going on, just Palace fans peacefully exiting the ground.

There are no specific police regs preventing an officer wearing an item that covers part of their face. So long as it is an item of issued police uniform it is fine. There are scarves issued for cold weather that officers can wrap round their faces. Some Firearms officers are issued face coverings and the ones I imagine you saw on Thursday would be the public order balaclavas that are worn as part of the Level 2 and Level 1 Public Order officers kit. They are flame retardant and are usually worn beneath the NATO helmet but can be worn in other circumstances as well. There were a large number of Level 2 public order officers on duty on Thursday evening and I saw a few of them wearing their balaclavas.

Uniformed officers are identifiable by their shoulder numbers and/or name badges and for Inspector ranks and above just their name badges. Uniformed officers in the UK are not required to have their faces uncovered.

Nope, not buying it.

From a police FoI response on this matter
'Flame proof balaclavas or head covers are issued as personal protective equipment to officers trained in Common Minimum Standards (CMS) for public order duties, in the event that petrol or chemical bombs may be thrown and pose a risk to the officers’ health and safety.'

Are we are saying that they felt there was a risk they would be attacked with petrol bombs?
If not, it kind of looks like a pointless attempt to intimidate.
And they wonder why public trust and faith in them is at an all-time low.

I’m not trying to sell you anything.

I’ve told you what they were wearing, I couldn’t give a monkey’s uncle if you are ‘buying it’ or not.

I served for over 35 years and more than 30 of those as a Level 2 Public Order trained officer. The briefing given to officers for Thursday will have covered the possibility of pyrotechnics being in the possession of both sets of supporters. Not that there needs to be the presence of any flammable material because officers can simply choose to wear their balaclavas underneath their NATO’s if they so wish, it is a personal choice. It also keeps you warm on a cold evening and secondly it is more comfortable, helps manage the sweat and moisture & stops the NATO helmet sticking to your head.

Sure. I'll remember that one next time I am walking through the centre of London in an area with facial recognition cameras.
I will explain that my balaclava is a personal choice. It keeps my head warm and prevents my hat from sticking to my head. I am sure the authorities will understand.

Well unless there’s a Section 60AA in place it is personal choice and you can wear it.

I don’t know why you’re getting your knickers in a twist about it, I only provided the answer to your original question!

It’s not difficult to see why you’re the main contributor on the ‘Which Conspiracy Theories Do You Believe’ thread! 🙄 🤣
