another season not in the top ten ,well not as bad as it looks

since our promotion 53 points would have got us in the top 10 , 8 times
When you look at our history when the prem come in . we was relegated on 49
lets hope we can match our best finish in top tier next season or even win it , sorry got carried away still sobering up lol

We finished 10th as recently as last season, and also in 2014/15.

I like the fact that since being promoted 12 years ago, we've never finished lower than 15th, and never higher than 10th. Consistently placing in the top half of the bottom half is perfect for us, and we should hopefully never do something so gauche as finishing 9th.

Next season will be our first in a proper European competition. Most new English teams struggle in Europe for the first few seasons. However we have an experienced manager who has won the competition.

Realistically I am hoping that we can qualify for the next stage in the New Year but at the very least we don't embarrass ourselves.

As for our league position I think 10th would be an excellent finish bearing in mind the extra games in Europe.

i hate to be saying it again on here. But this League is all about money. The top half of the table is mostly very wealthy. When ManUre & Spurs underperform....then its like a ferrari with a dodgy spark-plug, they will regroup and fight back.

you can get lucky, and punch above your weight......but probably not longterm.

Completely. But every year we get commercially stronger and close on the other teams outside the rich 7. Painfully slow but I can see us being the 8th richest team in a while without anyone noticing.

What "a while " is..?

That was 4th off bottom as well, we played more games though, four went down that season to reduce the numbers.
When you think, a team could’ve survived on 26 points this season 😳
