1, The more times you get the ball into the oppositions penalty box the more chances you have to score
2, If the ball is in the oppositions half, they wont score.
all the fannying about with the keeper and central defenders, i like the way Dyche gets the most out of a poor squad, give it to Pickford who launches it to Calvin-Lewis and start from there.

This is true, but most of the time, launching the ball up to the frontman simply gives it back to the oppo, who bring the ball back to our half..... hence all the fannying about

I agree somewhat. We wouldn't have the direct ball kind of squad in my opinion. Although I'm not sure everyone wants my opinion on the squad, I'll give it anyway - pretty crap.

As for the two "golden rules" I'd simplify it, perhaps make it three. A bit of Brian Clough here, how about:

Goalkeeper and defence stop the opposition scoring.
Midfield creates chances.
Forwards score goals from these chances.

I feel football could almost benefit from this with how ridiculously overcomplicated the game is being made.
Where I would go with Dyche is launching almost every free kick into the box. I can't really see why not.

We can also grow the grass longer, so when it goes over the full backs head in wont run out of play, hench having to kick it out of play for our long throws 😆

I think that’s probably why Sam slipped out of favour, we sit behind the goal at selhurst and so many times Guehi and Andersen would go either side of him waiting for the ball for all this tippy tappy crap across the back that gives us all heart attacks, but Sam would wave them away and launch the ball upfield, quite right in my opinion, but maybe Ollie was not happy about it

Or as Barry fry is alleged to have told one of his sides.
“ you get the ball into their net more times than they get it into ours”

I stand corrected if I’m wrong, but with all my years of experience, I’m thinking if you do that, you stand a fair chance of winning a game 😀
