Do we have enough fit players?

Goalkeeper, Back line and Wing Backs look to be unchanged.

Mateta, Sarr and Kamada seem likely to play.

Doucoure and Schlupp also possibly.

Maybe 1 or 2 of our promising youngsters could start?

As we know Glasner will not change formation, i would like Schlupp to play the Olise role, as being left footed it will create more space for Munoz, Sarr and Mateta, same back five, Hong Kong Phooey and Doucoure/Clyne/Richards/uncle Tom Cobley in the 2 CDMs

The team will have the minimum disruption and maximum experience possible.

Minimum disruption and maximum experience means the same team, other than the unavailable players, leading to Doucoure replacing Hughes and Schlupp replacing Nketiah.

No experiments with youngsters starting or central defenders playing out of position, although this may well change as substitutions are made during the game .

I understand the point Lanzo makes about having a left footed player on the right ( to try and replicate the Olise effect), but Schlupp has shown his best form throughout his career on the left and I’ve never seen him play well on the right on the rare occasion he has appeared there.
So it will be Schlupp in the left sided attacking role where Nketiah has most recently featured.

In an ideal world Schlupp wouldn’t be starting , particularly given his apparent lack of form and fitness, but he’s an experienced player and I just don’t see Glasner starting a youngster or disrupting the team more than necessary in preference to playing Schlupp.

Another possibility:

Push Munoz forward to rightside AM.
Clyne (maybe....Kporha) to RWB.
(Sarr to leftside AM.)
Decoure/Kamada as DM/holding.

OG has done this (pushing munoz forward, Clyne to RWB) to see out the last 10 minutes in the last several matches. Munoz appears to work quite well with Mateta, can easily lay on a high press, and has not only the endurance, but also the game knowledge and foresight, to be able to help out Clyne and Kamada defensively over 90 minutes.

Sarr doesn't really cut in and is more of a traditional winger, so I would only play him on the right. Personally I wouldn't start Schlupp because he looks way off the pace. The poor guy tripped over his own feet in the last game. I'd start Asher Agbinone on the left. He looks tricky and lively and didn't look out of place in his cameo against Forest. Also, if we start Schlupp then that would leave Clyne as the only fit senior outfield player on the bench and Doucoure and Schlupp probably have no more than 60 minutes each in them, at the most. Whatever OG does it is going to take some real planning to ensure we're not having to bring on three youngsters in the final quarter of the game, as that could kill us the way Fulham play.

It's a ridiculous scenario and I am desperately trying to think of an XI we can put out that doesn't include Schlupp, who seems embarrassingly out of shape and off the pace for a professional footballer who gets paid tens of thousands of pounds per week to keep fit.

The one thing we do have is defenders and right backs, so I feel like the best I can come up with is something like this:

GK: Henderson
LWB: Mitchell
RWB: Clyne
CB: Guehi
CB: Chalobah
CB: Lacroix
CM: Kamada
CM: Doucoure
LW: Sarr
RW: Munoz
CF: Mateta

If Chris Richards is available he's an option in CM as well and you could potentially put him there and put Kamada up front and move Munoz back into his proper position.

If we end up with Schlupp in midfield I fear we'll get overrun.

Taking into account the available options I wouldn't be unhappy with that line-up.
It should at least provide some intensity which will be necessary against a quick passing Fulham midfield.
Fulham only play one striker so we do look a bit top heavy in defence, but our central defenders can step into midfield on occasion to bolster us there.

Yes, play Agbinone, good call, the system fals down if there isn't a left footed player in the Olise role, i presume is left footed?

Devenny is playing.
Good luck to him.
Neither Doucoure nor Schlupp are starting and it looks like Munoz will play further forward with Clyne starting.
It's a real patchwork team.

The team looks awful but let's hope that it works somehow. Kind of need to suspend reality and go with blind hope. Maybe the fans can be the twelfth man, clutching at straws really.
