So, It was in the news last year, some blokes cut this big old tree down in the dead of night.
It's come to trial at the moment, and surprisingly, two men are on trial. I always thought it was tree fella's 😀
The Prosecution have nearly finished outlining their case. Phone tracking data, CCTV of their vehicles movements, photos and the equipment in their car and a video of the tree cutting on their phones.

If, found guilty, i was wondering what sort of sentence they could expect. Bring back the birch ?

They run a tree surgery business, so was wondering if the publicity would kill their business, or give it a boost ?

There a certainly more tree huggers than we need in this country, but tree haters???
What on earth were they thinking?
I could understand if it was overhanging their house or something. But this??
Beggars belief. And tree felling, clearing, is evidently part of their business.
From what I see it was a wanton act of vandalism for no gain whatsoever.
I would even question their sanity.
Longing to hear their inner reasons for such a senseless crime.
