Who’ll ever forget the 5-1 win away to the Germans he gave us? It wasn’t always that great to watch under Sven, but he was a hard man to dislike, always came across as a true gent in the Roy Hodgson mode

Watched he’s documentary on prime a couple of nights back. A good watch and an interesting football and ladies life he had. Forgot about the Notts County job he had which didn’t go well for him or the club. Good to see them back in the football league. RIP Swen
 
RIP. great bloke, transformed England after Keegan, underachieved in 2006, never resolved the Lampard-Gerard problem but excuse my churlishness, he was generally great for us. When Palios tried to set him up with some dodgy woman to smear him Sven got the woman and Palios took the rap - glided through it like a swan with a smirk on his face. Fantastic record in club football prior to England. Class act with a lovely parting message not to be sad but to smile and make the most of your life.

2001 was a more optimistic time than today. A more innocent time. In lots of places.

Sven was certainly one of the best England managers ever.
