Article in the paper today that we are looking at this centre back for £25 million. Currently at AC Milan. Only 23. No absolutely nothing about him.

Article also says about our interest in Chilwell and Ryan Cherki. Probably no truth in any of this but as it’s been so dull a boring I thought I’d do a post.

Knowing us we will get Edouard back and have him play as an emergency centre back or LWB
 
Never heard of him either Den but from this report he sounds like a bit of a beast. Even so it's probably just another anagram of a name we're being "linked" with.

One source for this story is Alan Nixon, so there may be some truth in our WANTING this guy (and Cherki) but getting them over the line this window seems somewhat ambitious to say the least.
 
To be honest I’d take that little known east European defender Bigheady Clumpalot just to have an upright body coming into our rather thread bare squad as cover at the moment

He was awesome at Salzburg last year, but I don't think he's done so well in Milan. I think he would be great, but potentially a bit much at 25 mil.

If we do sign this guy then it’ll be because Ollie knows him and sees him as a replacement for Guehi on the left of the back three. Given his concern about needing a full preseason to bed in new players I suspect he’s making a virtue out of necessity in seeking to bring in a player who can provide much needed cover now and be ready to step up in the summer.
