MP3 Thread Guidelines
Most HOL'ers use the thread properly and keep their requests to one or two albums at a time, however certain members have been massively taking the piss with their requests lately - and this is spoiling it for everyone else.
If the following guidelines can't be followed then the mp3 thread will have to stop.
When making a request will you please always state :-
1. The exact title and artist.
2. Whether you are requesting an album or single.
3. Always check with the HOL search button to see if the album you are requesting has already been posted - especially if it's a new(ish) album.
4. If a link is dead - that's it. Please do not ask for a repost.
5. New HOL members will only get requests posted after they have been a member for two months and/or have made at least 20 posts - this is because people were registering just to get downloads and making requests with their very first post.
6. Requests for compilations of upto 3 discs are not accepted if they have just been released as most of the time they are only available as continuous mp3 files - which most people don't want.. they are usually only available in individual tracks a week or two after release. Please remember this when making the request.
7. In the past you could buy (for example) a 1 month premium account and you would have unlimited downloads for that month. Now they are charging by how much you download and a couple of compilation albums can be 6 downloads and take a whole days worth credits (you are limited to a certain amount a day - unless you buy more). I already pay for a premium account - I will not pay more to download compilation albums that I will never listen to.
So requests for compilations or albums of more than 2 discs will only be posted if I can find non Rapidshare links.
