Glasner i think is wise enough to know he cannot play the counter attacking football with a top side, the fans wont except it, it only works when the opposing team is attacking you, same team vs Vila and the Norwegian side, one attacks, one defends, we go from woeful to world beaters in three days, Palace is the perfect club for him, tolerant fans, low expectations, mostly playing against teams that attack, that is why we probably will struggle against Sunderland, unless we get an early goal, and Glasner wont change his tactics for any club, he will change to the club that matches his tactics.

I do wonder if this inflexibility is the reason we won’t go as far in the Conference League as people expect (favourites with the Bookies).

You can’t tell me we need 3 centre backs against a Norwegian Team home and away and get 1 goal as a Premier League outfit. It’s the ONLY time I’ve questioned his tactics tbf and as it works so well in ‘proper’ competitions because we’re nearly always the underdog, we can allow the inflexibility.

But he should have an attacking formation to utilise against these teams. If he went to Man Utd much like Amorim, he’d want the opposition to have 80% possession and catch them on the break. The Fans would pull their hair out to get it again after Amorim, and the players would feel they are better than that so won’t put the work in that Glasner gets out of our Team.

It may have been an overly cautious approach but OG suspected, or probably knew, they would be very difficult to score against so wanted to be as sure as possible that they couldn't score themselves and three central defenders were preferred because the long throw was pretty much their main threat. If we'd needed to score at least two we might not have qualified which was the main objective.

I don't think people on this site realise just how many bots view the posts, cache them, and then they start popping up on any and all search engines, where yet more cache them and so it goes on.

I actually had someone DM me to ask why I took their mobile number off a post Ticket & Travel Talk, after I had told them it was for their own safety and security (where's the facepalm emoji gone?)
