Selhurst Station

After the Nottingham Forest match on the bank holiday Monday. I'm looking to get back to Southampton Via Clapham Junction.

The train I'm looking to catch leaves Selhurst at 22:24 to which stops at Clapham Junction on the way to Victoria. Is this doable for the 8pm kick off? Not sure what queues are like to get into the station?

I realise stoppage time and var might add time, but those of you who normally make that journey might be able to help.

Thanks

depends on what time train you are getting from clapham junction and as its a bank holiday you will need to offer a sacrifice to southern / southwestern trains and hope they dont cancel trains!

22:42 is the one I'd hope to get, but that requires me to be on the 22:24 from Selhurst in order to catch that connection. The one after is 23:42.

There is usually a large queue but it moves reasonably quickly. Allow about 10mins to get into the station. It's quite unbelievable that nobody has thought to widen such a narrow entrance and exit despite serving a football stadium for 100 years. The rail company, council and Palace should address it but none are exactly known for their competence!
