It's kicked off, thought I'd open a general thread for all footy in the whole season.

First things first, it appears that Sky Sports aren't putting up any match highlights on YouTube 😳 Not there, yet, hopefully will get posted though.

MOTD for you then spindle, hopefully they’ll have freshened up the same old tired format this season. Kelly Cates instead of old jug ears is a good start
 
The commentator at the start of Villa vs Newcastle mentioned the current kick off strategy. It grew last season. Teams hoofing the ball as far as possible out for a throw in near the opposition’s corner flag. Coppell was instructing this nearly 40 years ago. Ahead of his time lol.

Trouble is teams haven’t got wright and bright up front so it’s less effective 🤣

Just seen the weed "penalty". Defender got a foot on the ball first, but what a theatrical dove - legend of Pedro lives on at Brighton.
