Strangely I am feeling super optimistic about the season and part of that is thinking that Mitchell will shake off his post-England appearance blues and start progressing and have a good year

Gosens looks like a decent standard for cover / competing for Mitchell's place. I don't sense Palace are looking to replace Mitchell so this looks a decent shout

I get it that if you think Mitchell should be replaced then Gosens wouldn't be the answer.

We just need the equivalent of Munoz for the left hand side in order to upgrade on Mitchell and just have him as cover.
