Ricky Hatton

Sad and a very early age to die.
I seem to recall that he had huge weight swings in between fights and wonder whether this contributed to his early death.
RIP Ricky.

I supply the New York Sky Blues (NYC Man City Supporters) with merchandise about 10 years ago they had some shirts done & were expecting a visit from Hatton & got me to make a 3XL for him quite a jump from his fighting weight

I thought it was general knowledge that Hatton admitted he liked to party in between fights and liked a beer. That was why it became increasingly difficult to train for fights nearer the end, because it took a lot of effort to shift the weight.
and at 46, he was still considering a come-back. Tragically young, but lived a full life.

I got up at 4am this morning to watch canelo/crawford.
Last time I did that was Hatton/mayweather. A ferocious fighter. Genuine world class, but Floyd and Manny were elite level.
Working class hero, but had his demons. You can’t hit the packet/booze that hard and train like an athlete (he had a fight next month)
Assume it was a heart attack, although suicide wouldn’t be a surprise.
RIP Ricky Hatton.
One of Englands best ever fighting men.
