Don't know if it's just me but certainly last couple of games seem to sit back first half inviting a bit of pressure then come out second half raise intensity and take control

I think it’s more a case of we just haven’t got going first half and then a bollocking from the gaffer at half time. Thankfully we rode our luck against Leicester first half and West Ham were just useless and didn’t give us any problems so we got away with it

Glasner had adapted the tactics.

We are no longer pressing as high and are sitting deeper when defending.
We are playing more directly and launching more long passes.

This suits the current make up of the team in the absence of Wharton , Olise and Anderson who all had contributed to our ability to retain posssesion.

Our first goal on Saturday seems to be an example of the new template.
The opposing team on the attack in our half , but then two quick first time passes from Sarr and then Eze free up Mateta to finish.
The three similarly combined v Chelsea.

On the assumption that Wharton makes a successful return, this will enable us make another tactical adjustment, and should help when teams sit deep and prevent us from counterattacking them.
