Uefa actually want Premier League teams participating in this new mickey-mouse competition. Just to give it some credibility and gravitas.

We are now the big boys that everybody wants to beat.
I know, it's a weird feeling going to these places (or anywhere really) as favourites. Doesn't sit well with me if I'm honest. I prefer feeling like the underdog. In fact I think part of the reason we have struggled in this competition is because despite having zero experience of playing in Europe, we are expected to steamroller the opposition who are always right up for it, whilst we rarely are. It's part of the reason we lost to Macclesfield too, although there were other factors like burnout, confidence, unbalanced side, Glasner, Mateta etc involved too. But the mindset and attitude has to be right first doesn't it. Does 2026 Glasner extol that virtue? I'm not sure.

Would rather win a Cup to gain European entry than finish 7th in the League,
So, so long as we stay in the Prem, I could be bothered if we finished 7th or 17th!

Saying that, the higher up the league, the more likely we are to 'keep' our place in the tournament.... as we saw last year 🤐.

I think the chance to be in europe for a 2nd year running allows us the opportunity to correct our mistakes of this year. whereas if didn't get it, then fall back to where we 'were' for a couple of years and THEN managed to get into europe again with the next generation team, I dare say we'll see a repeat of the squad issues again.

Can we just agree to do both?!

Anyone who watched us on Sunday must realise we are not safe yet. We got lucky against a very poor side with 10 men. It's hard to see who we think we can beat in the last few games. I could be wrong but I think we will be targeted by the sides below us as a probable 3 points to them. Won't be happy until we are mathematically safe.

West Brom once survived on 34 Points, at the cost of us going down. Many teams survived on 35. If we cannot even muster a Draw for the rest of the season - against some tired de-motivated squads, we would deserve everything we got.

I think we can all agree that 35 will fall far short of safety this season. I wouldn't be al all surprised if was at least 40 and then the equation looks somewhat more uncertain.

We usually have our end of year purple patch around Easter time. I'm sure we will string a few wins together.

Im quietly confident we get a result at old Trafford on Sunday 🙊

🤔Can you send me some of the happy pills you took this morning. I will though, be more than happy to eat my hat if proved incorrect in my assumption for Sunday.

Burnley and Wolves are gone. Are West Ham going to win five more games this season? I can't see them getting to 40. One more win - wherever that may come from - and we can consider ourselves safe.

I think west ham are the form team at the bottom?

There's plenty of football left to play. Its not like they are cut adrift they are 2 points from safety and will have plenty of motivation to win games.

It’s crazy really, the tables changed since United won, but when we beat wolves we were only 10 points off 4th and we’ve been rubbish since early December!!
I agree, we all know how it works with us, poor run, meltdown, parish is the devil incarnate!! Good run, and then it’s “I love my club” from everyone again, so I still think we’ve got a good spell in us before the end of the season and we’ll be pushing 50 points again

Well, they are cut adrift from us at the moment. Ten points adrift.

It's not 'can West Ham stay up?' - of course they can. It's 'can West Ham catch us?' - and that is looking unlikely, especially if we get another win under the belt.

Correct. Even if West Ham transform into Bayern Munich, it will then be Nottm Forest that go down. A nice early birthday present for Mr Marinakis.

For us getting European success ? need to figure out our tactics against a Low Block. It should be achievable. Especially considering a Draw will be useless to our opposition too.......they must also attack.
And so, of course, everything pivots on who scores the first goal.

Mad isint it. We usually have a small flirt with the bottom 3 during a normal season where we all loose our minds but then we get our act together. 😅 Even last season we did at the start and then...🏆

Just as well the board don't listen to fans 🤣

Glory? Some Micky Mouse cup.
