My wife and I saw them last summer in Annapolis, MD, about 400 miles from our home. We actually built a 10-day road trip around the fixture. Although we outplayed and beat Wolves 3-1, the event was a bit of a let-down: expensive tickets for poor seats creating a low turnout, perhaps only 5000 in a 34,000-seat stadium.
We'd love to see them again in the States this summer, the perfect time for raising their visibility. I have no idea why the owners haven't invested in the U.S. market, given our mascot, color scheme, convenient location for international fans, and reputation for energetic, supportive followers. (Not to mention a GREAT song in Glad All Over.) With Textor and Harris clearly interested in the inve$tment rather than the football, it would seem to make $en$e to market Palace as the U.S. fan favorite "underdog" squad in the League. Now is the perfect time.
On top of everything else, Eze's cousin Ego Nwodim has become the breakout comedy star of the biggest weekly entertainment show on American television, Saturday Night Live.
