I am just trying to book flights to go to Australia to see my family next year. It is a 24 hour trip so, as I can afford it, I want to go Business Class. These bloody leeches add a grand each to the cost just to have a night in a hotel each way. Not looking, or expecting, any sympathy but isn’t this a sign of why the world is f*****.

how do you figure out 'when is night ?' your body-clock or the clock on the wall ? are you running a risk of spending a night in a Hotel and sitting staring at the wall with insomnia ? and then getting up the next morning, boarding a Plane and sleeping like a baby ?

Don't book the hotel through the airline.
Book it separately yourself.

Go with the time wher you end up.I rarely sleep on planes so if I get into Oz at 7am I just stay awake as long as I can. Quickest way to get normal. But getting back into the time zone in the UK can be a bitch.
