New thread. Here’s one. Not only this but there’s huge funding into inner city London schools to boost grades for black children. Problem is the white working class children falling behind aren’t a concern for governments.

Additionally I have wondered about the grades and how clever wealthy foreign students studying in England are. Some I bet are, but I wouldn’t be surprised if some aren’t. Money money money…

For decades it has been known that wealthy foreigners buy their kids degrees. Universities assign special tutors to the thickos to "help them". The help often means the tutor doing the work or grading the paper.

But enough about the Royal Families education woes. 😀

Whilst I can understand why some think positive discrimination is needed to correct inequalities in society I think it’s the wrong approach which leads to other problems.

So I believe solely in merit as the determining factor and we must work to ensure everyone has the opportunity to fully show their merits in other ways.

I'm pretty sure white kids get graded differently to other races. They go easier on the other races.
And it wouldn't surprise me with the way the looney liberally woke teachers in most of our schools carry on.

Outside the cherished HOL, I have had numerous conversations on this matter.
Suffice to say my 'Soapbox' was very much in evidence with my opinions fed into the spin-dryer of vitriolic commentary.
I never flip-flopped akin to a speared eel, I was consistent in my assertions, but thankfully I maintained some comportment as I delivered my diatribes.

Some of the foreign students I taught in universities were absolutely awful. Yet, if they failed, you were put under no illusion that they had to be passed. No matter what. Similarly for students with disabilities.
The foreign students was, of course, the monetary aspect. The disability students the legal claim aspect.
This leads to inevitable grade inflation along with far less onus on indigenous
students. Whose marking was maybe a few seconds at best. Whilst trying desperately to find marks for people who clearly could not write or reason.
One aspect of this is that a pass degree really means a fail. It's like a code that everyone understands.
Similarly in all education. The top grades are the top grades - that's people who would have a reasonable knowledge. Pass grades are people who really are not competent in those subjects.

Higher Education is a bit like Restaurants. The michelin star places are elitist and dont get big numbers.

The burger bars get a ton of customers and make a ton of money. Shyte Universities are often very profitable.

Regarding wealthy daddy 'buying' a degree for junior......all ok if its a meaningless soft degree. But its more scary if the little thickey ends up standing over your hospital bed, wearing a doctors coat.
