I don't recognise that characterisation = I have been called out on something rubbish we have done

I wasn't at the meeting = I know exactly what was said but don't want to admit it

No rules were broken = Something despicable was done

It's within the rules - I am taking loads of taxpayer money over and above my salary

I don't recognise that description = It's all true.
We inherited this situation = We won't take responsibility for our own useless policies.
I misspoke = I can just deny anything I said previously because you can't do anything about it.

Long term economic plan = I'll be long gone before this goes tits up.
I don't think that is the question = I'm not going anywhere near that one.
Firstly, may I just say = Hopefully you'll have forgotten that question when I've finished drivelling on.
I have a very good friend = I might have met someone.
I come from a working class background = Look at me now you losers.
I will not pardon my son = I will pardon my son.

I made a mistake = I intentionally committed fraud

It was a frightening experience for a 24 year old woman = The police arrested me for a crime I committed

Starmer today on Haigh's resignation

Starmer responds by saying he won't disclose private information. "Further information came to light," he repeats.

=

The press found out so we have to sack her.

A very poor performance from Starmer.

This was a minor conviction 'spent' several years ago which he was aware of when he appointed her.

And she is an able minister who hit the ground running, unlike the perception of his government, it may just be male jealousy.

He is just trying to bluff it out.

Bit of a pr*ck, aren't you Sir Keir.

😎

I agree, it was hardly something worth resigning over. People need to have a stop and think about all this nonsense.
What's actually worse: her "crime" or Starmer's Lord Alli donations, use of the flat, his wife's clothes, Raynor's expenses?

The Government MP's appear to have a significant number with, 'oversights' in their CV's.
Critical missing information - An oversight by my secretarial staff
Lies about jobs - I worked in education,....(as a school cleaner)
Lies about previous legal 'troubles' - the convictions were spent, so i didn't include them.

Seem to recall the other lot did the same maybe worse, seems to go with the job.

It isn’t really a point scoring exercise.
All who can will and do. Go down the line to us and we are all at in some way.
The difference is my red line ordinarily stops at survival. Theirs doesn’t have a red line, and that’s the real kicker.

Agree Starmer is useless and latest PMQ demonstrates such.

Johnson and Sunak were not convicted of anything, they received fixed penalty notices. Some lawyer Starmer is as he seems not to know the difference.

Do not agree Haigh was an able minister, and, if the bar is set as " able " god help us.

The current govt is doing a lot of " the previous govt did this as well ".

Is this supposed to make it ok ?

Labour spent years criticising what the Tories did but know do the same using the Tories as a precedent, pathetic .

Both as bad as each other in many respects although current Labour Govt slightly in front in the use of blatant lies to the public.
