Players and Prayers

There seems to be a culture at the club whereby many of our players are comfortable to speak about their faith and give thanks to God for their good fortune. It may be that religious minded players feel it is a factor when considering signing for us. It may also be a reason for players like Guehi to stay . I think having decent fair minded fans also helps our cause.

I'd say in a squad of 25, most teams would have players of all kinds of backgrounds and religions. Certainly a lot of Christians...but also with the African and middle Eastern players, some muslims too.
Football unites all...that's the beauty of it. I think it speaks volumes for the faith though that players like Guehi/Eze/Wardy carry themselves with such humility and gratitude though.

I am an atheist but I can see the draw.

Players start from primary age and are raised to have massive over confidence. God gives critical grounding. Without it you might have an ego like Grealish.
