The one in Centrale (the old Drummond Centre) does well. Often busy in there and there has actually been a couple of occasions where something I couldn’t get in Selhurst Park I was able to get in Centrale.Yeah, surely they won’t renew the lease. I’ve been in there a couple of times with my kids. When you ask them for something, they say you’d be better off going to the club shop at the ground.
Charlton opened one in blue water when they got promoted.
They’ve got Rangers and Celtic ones at Glasgow airport that probably do well. But club shops in shoppping centres aren’t any good surely.

It always spins my head a bit reading reddit etc and seeing Brazilians and the like talking knowledgeably about usWhile we was reaking havoc outside Victoria station before the 1997 play off final, a few Argentinian tourists stopped and asked us what was going on and we said it’s a football match, we’re Crystal Palace fans, they looked at us a bit like who?! Then one of them said ‘ah yes, Buckingham Palace!!’
Bloody foreigners🤣 I bet the world knows who we are now

I suppose it works the other way as well, back in the day I used to look forward to world cups to see the great Brazilian players because it was the only time we see them. But now most of them are playing in the premier league or the champions league and we know them all so that intrigue has gone before the World CupIt always spins my head a bit reading reddit etc and seeing Brazilians and the like talking knowledgeably about us

Interesting thought. Like you, I used to love waiting to see the Brazilians at World Cups, wondering who the new football wizard was and what tricks he'd perform. Gone are those days, though.I suppose it works the other way as well, back in the day I used to look forward to world cups to see the great Brazilian players because it was the only time we see them. Probably why Brazil are nothing like they used to be, they all get europeanised, the flair’s drummed out of them with a head full of tactics

The world cup has never been the same since the TV pictures and sound have become really clear.Interesting thought. Like you, I used to love waiting to see the Brazilians at World Cups, wondering who the new football wizard was and what tricks he'd perform. Gone are those days, though.

Watch it on TNT and you'll get a nostalgic experience. The world cup has never been the same since the TV pictures and sound have become really clear.
I miss the days when it was a bit fuzzy, and the commentator sounded like they were speaking from inside a cardboard box. It really felt like it was coming from the other side of the world back then.
😁
The trouble with TNT is it keeps going off.Watch it on TNT and you'll get a nostalgic experience.

You’re right, those were the days😃 as I said before the intrigue has gone now as well as we know all the players from far flung corners of the world because most of them are playing in the premier league and/or the champions leagueThe world cup has never been the same since the TV pictures and sound have become really clear.

Was his name Zico or Socrates? 🤣Ah yes! The days when I was utterly convinced I should be a scout for Palace.
"Hello, Palace? Yeah, I'm a big fan and have just unearthed a gem for us... turn on ITV!"

We'd already had Brolin the Hungrier Wayne Rooney. Or Mickey Rooney anyway. His name was Sandor Torghelle.
Didn't last long in that job, I thought he was the Hungarian Wayne Rooney!
