I actually saw the trophy cabinet the other day and was very surprised at how much silverware was in there. No idea what it all was, next time I’ll take a photo.

I have no idea what happens with the cup situation. When you win a FA Cup and I take it you get to keep it for a year? What happens after someone else wins it? Do you get a replica to keep in the trophy cabinet to show you have won a cup or what?

I dont think you get given a replica. Most clubs tend to have one made though when they have to hand the original back. I hope we do.

Mainly youth team achievements. Over the years Palace have won a lot of younger age group trophies.

I don’t think we get the original, there was an fa cup doing the rounds of the schools in my town quite a few years ago when my daughter was still at school and I said to one of the people with it, whoever they were, how does it work? He said the original stays at the FA, the club that wins it gets a replica and there’s one that does the rounds, as in schools, clubs, fairs etc for people to see and have photo’s with.

Yes that’s right. I also have a full size replica FA Cup on its way to me - and the Charlton-supporting wife doesn’t know it yet.

I am, slightly tentatively, going to reclaim our amazing ZDS winning as a great thing we can be proud of - in the right circumstances

OK - it was bad before. The footie bantie is on. What have you won? We won the ZDS - it doesn't go well from there

BUT NOW ...

What have you won?

Only the FA Cup - silence - then into the banterfield go for - AND the ZDS Cup at Wembley thrashing Everton (used to be a top 5/6 side) - 4-1

What was special about that? Not only squashing Keown's nose, still obvious on MOTD, but also 3 goals in extra time. And finally on a serious note, the ZDS (Full Members Cup) was only invented because English teams were banned from Europe.

If that hadn't happened we would have been in Europe proper and wouldn't have had to talk about Liverpool getting English clubs banned for years.

I've still got an old newspaper somewhere in honour of our lifting of the Evening Standard London 5 A Sides back in 1969

Me and a few of my mates went to that.
