In my opinion, crystal palace winning 3 trophies in the space of 12 months is as bigger fairy tail as leicester winning the title back in 2016. With gone from NOTHING to having 3 pieces of silverware in the space of a year.

If leicester was 5000 to 1 odds back then. Can anyone tell me what the odds might have been at the start of the 24/25 season of palace doing what we done in the time we done it?

I guess it really depends on what the typical odds are on Palace winning the FA Cup. 25/1? 50/1? As the Community Shield is only one of two clubs so I guess we were 1/2 or 1/3? And we were favourites to win the Europa Conference

But as it is Palace you could never have won the bet if you were placing it in 24/25 because you'd have assumed we'd be competing in the Europa League. So a million to one!

Someone told me the following. I’ve no idea if it’s true or not.
The year Leicester won the league was the same year we got to the final against Manure. If we’d won that (which we all know we should have done) the charity shield the next season would have been Leicester v Palace.
If you’d placed a bet on that happening at the beginning of the season you’d have got 2,500,000 to 1.

I’d like to win the League Cup next season rather than the fa cup again. Because we’ve done the FA Cup, won a European trophy, so it’ll be nice to complete the set of what we can realistically win

I was just thinking that myself the other day. The league cup would be the next nice thing to win. 😄

What does dawn on me is previously seeing a large number of teams of our size who have competed in Europe and have been relegated within 1-2 years.

Southampton
Burnley
Wolves
Stoke
Portsmouth
Leicester
Swansea
West ham

I've probably missed a couple other teams from that list as it's just what came to mind. It doesn't look good. But in my opinion the memories we've just experienced out weigh the fear of being relegated

I get the feeling someone's forgetting about who we actually are. We could maybe win the Carabao but it wouldn't surprise me if we got to the latter stages and lost. With the Europa probably best not to bother as we can probably get to the latter stages of that. Remember this: we may have won the conference league but we didn't even qualify automatically for the knockouts. Expect similar in the Europa. We had hard fixtures. Any reason we might get hard fixtures again perhaps? We played something like three of the top four of the Conference league sides in our league phase when you consider it. I didn't see many complaints but we had the hardest set of fixtures by miles.

Until you actually put a pound on it when the bookies panicked and cut the odds to 7/2.
