Someone complained in a recent post that they were surrounded by Aussies

Well , Palace has had a good track record with recruiting from down under so here’s a name to watch for the future

Nestory Irankunda

Just moved to Watford after not making the grade as a 17-18 year old at Bayern Munich though they do have a buy back clause .

He’s the youngest player to score a hat trick in the A-league.

His top speed in 37.02 km / hr which would rank his as second fastest in the EPL in the 24-25 season

And free kicks - two ballers in a row for Watford . I’m on holiday in bali so not going to post available links

And , the best thing !!

His back flip celebration 🥳 😎

You will see him in action at the World Cup where lots of us are calling for him to be our starting striker .

Cheers

Only 3 mil they paid Bayern for him! I recon that’s gonna prove to be a right steal.

Would love to see him on SE25 at some point. If he has a good season for the Hornets, I’d happily double their money for him in 2026, with a high, high release clause inserted into contract.

Scored a tidy goal for Australia on the Weekend .

Australia seem to have found themselves their future two strikers . 19 & 21

Mo Toure , playing for Randers scored a nice pair. All three goals were tidy clinical finishes

Irankunda also hit the cross bar from around 30 m out from a free . It would have made his two free kick goals look amateurish if it had been 3 inches lower ….
