Mike Amesbury, far right thug...

This t*** has to be sacked. There can be no excuse.

According to the BBS the victim in this case is a man who has previously been convicted of stalking and threatening the same MP.

If this is true and I have not yet seen video of the start of the fight it might explain why the MP has lost it.

""A man has been found guilty of stalking and harassing an MP at his constituency office and in a town.

Stephen Cowell, 56, loitered around Mike Amesbury's office in a shopping centre, followed him to his car and approached him in Frodsham.
The Weaver Vale MP said Cowell's behaviour was "concerning" and it had resulted in him feeling "that little bit more anxious".
Cowell, who denied the charges, will be sentenced on 18 August.
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said Cowell's behaviour had become "increasingly odd and intimidating".
The stalking happened on 9 and 16 June and 27 July in 2022 in Runcorn Shopping City around the MP's constituency office and culminated in a series of events on 3 August 2022 in Frodsham.
Warrington Magistrates Court heard Cowell had stared through the glass at his office and asked security staff about the level of the security guards and cameras present.""

I stuck up for my Tory MP when he was accused of racially abusing a man (not guilty) and it turned out that the victim was in fact a protestor who continually harassed and verbally abused him.

In both cases the MP lost their rag and no doubt regretted their actions. We are all human, so if the BBS are correct about this guy's previous (wasn't it lucky their is phone footage of the beating but not what happened before hmmm), then I think this MP was silly but it's understandable.

I agree Hrolf, just one of many Labour MPs who have no idea what it means to be a politician working for their constituents.

Anyway, what was he doing out on the streets at 2.15 in the morning? If he isn't sacked it will further demonstrate what a lilly livered nonce Starmer is.

From the reports I have read this seems to be true. He was constantly provoked, finally lost it and is cooperating with the Police. MPs are human too. I expect he will be given a warning and the whip to be restored soon afterwards.

It's not acceptable at all.

This guy is an MP. He has to be judged by a different standard to the average.
He didn't just defend himself. In the video, he looked drunk and was the aggressor. Any provocation is rather beside the point.

Quoting the BBS? Are you serious?

It does appear there is more to this story than initially reported. The video also does not show what happened prior to the assault.

It doesn't matter. This is not self defence. He is laying into the bloke on the floor for Christ sake.

People have been jailed for hurty words.

Nice. Objective and measured comment there, POG. So Starmer is now a child-molester, is he?

Anything else? On second thoughts, don't bother lol.

Nice try at diversion.

It failed. The Labour Party are a disgrace...as usual.

A good punch on him he will probably double his majority at the next election.I wish he was my local M.P.
From prison?

On Desert Island Discs, Starmer chose Gary Glitter I Love you love me love and Rolf Harris Shamus O Sean The Leprechaun amongst his picks.
Bloody hell. That is shocking.

'Do You Wanna Touch' is much better.
