Miguel Almiron

He's scored 1 in 8 in his career with Newcastle with the latest last December, turns 31 in a few months and can only play in a position Sarr and Rak-Sayki (if he comes back next year) occupy - which isn't a position Glasner likes anyways. Newcastle have been looking to get rid off for 18 months at least
Difficult to think of a harder no

Transfer Fee + Almiron for Guehi come the January window if the latter senses that Palace are going down and wants to jump ship?
  1. Almiron is past his best and we don't need him
  2. If Guehi goes anywhere in January I think it will be Liverpool. Newcastle had their chance and either blew it or Guehi didn't really fancy it.
  3. I don't see us being in danger of relegation come the January window and that's not just because we won yesterday, I've said it previously on this site (can't remember which thread).

Exactly this, if Van Dijk doesn't sign a new contract, then Liverpool will go for Guehi, forget Newcastle there deluded fans think they are getting top 4 this season.

Esse from Millwall is where we will look not a 31 year old, half a season wonder.

My second those thoughts.
Promoting talent from below has been our most effective tactic, not acquiring off-casts, no matter their abilities.

Took him a while to flourish up north; impressed for half a season or so but no longer a serious PL player IMO, hence his sale back to where he came from. Doubt we ever considered him in this or the previous window.
Just as well - he's far too ugly to play for us.
