Midfield pair for Final

It's City. We have to play to our ceiling and Wharton is the one with the highest. He also had a great semi. I think we need to score first and bringing him on when we are down is less effective
Hughes has done all he can to make the starting lineup and he looked much better than Kamada against Spurs but the latter did have his best game of the season against Villa and I think Glasner will go with him
Yuck!! I hope he manages to stay on side with it.....

Hope Franca gets a run out at some stage. Pep won't have a plan for him - after all we don't seem to unless OG has been playing the (very) long game waiting to unleash him.

Wharton to start for sure. He's trained all week. We are going to be under pressure and need him to find those quick passes to break out when we win possession back.

Also if he has a weakness better to play and then take him off if it's a problem. If he comes on later and then needs to be replaced that's worse.

His partner? I'll be happy with Hughes. Glasner has faith in Kamada and he did great in the semi final.

Over to you Ollie - even he said it was a tough decision

How refreshing and amazing is it that nobody will really be disappointed with the 2 that OG goes with. Gone are days where we prayed Barber was on the bench!! 🤣🦅

We can’t let City run away with it in first half so for me it’s Hughes and Wharton to start with Lerma on after 70 mins. Kamada on after 80 mins.

Not in the 1990 Final (first match) - what a great free kick he whipped in for O'Reilly!

Re the original question I'd go horses for courses: Kamada and Wharton did brilliantly in the semi final so I'd be starting with them. Agree with what others have said about arguments for other combinations - the rest of the starting XI more or less picks itself.

This is it for me.

To win this we're going to need some magic from JPM/Eze/Sarr we're going to need some last ditch tackles from MG, Lacroix and Richards, and going to need a couple of big saves from Hendo.

We should be 100% confident in our ability to do that.
