Does what 90% of PL footballers don't do.

How many of them could take a ball on their chest, balance and strike a perfect goal from 25 yards under pressure.

Aged 39 Luka defies gravity.

And at the top, Real Madrid.

Show this at training OG!

Wilf was the worst at just blasting it I recall.

😎

Some can be great and others are GREAT.
He has to be alongside messi and Ronaldo for quality, not goals though I don’t think.

I recall Modric in his Tottenham days.He was never the quickest but had a fine strike on him.
World class passing ability and strong for his slight build.A player with immense quality.
Harry Redknapp who managed him at Tottenham described him as a model professional.

I rarely watch games from other leagues but I was actually watching this one the other day.
When that went in I couldn't help letting out a loud and vocal "whooaa!"
After all these years the guy can still shock

it is curious how some players get so much limelight, Messi/Ronaldo. And yet other greats manage to almost hold onto their anonymity - Denis Irwin anybody ?
Its partly down to personality. And i reckon country-of-origin is also a factor. An English player in England, spaniard in Spain........bound to get much more publicity. Modric is Croatian......hence less likely to be a poster boy than Beckham. Another factor is what position on the field. Strikers always get more glory than midfielders or defenders. Has a goalkeeper ever won the Ballon d'Or ?

Modric is defo one of the greatest of all time. Next year he will be 40. I wonder would he like a player/manager role in an English club. To perfect his English, experience the Prem and set himself up for a career in management. Maybe a South London club would be a good move ?

Lev Yashin won it way back in the 60s.

We're surely not putting Dennis Irwin alongside Messi/Ronaldo for greatness..?
