I saw him play at Selhurst Park a few times and, whilst it didn't work out for him on the pitch, I always felt he gave 100% effort in an impossible attempt to fill Ian Wright's boots.

You’ve hit the nail on the head there, we carried on banging the balls up front for Marco to chase like we did with Wrighty, but he just didn’t have the pace, not many did have Wrightys pace.

I wish him all the best. Part of Palace folklore for the wrong reasons perhaps but still a place in our hearts for him.
