Man City predictions

With De Bruyne back for sure they will have creativity going forward but sounds like they will be missing Foden which is helpful & with Stones & Rodri missing from the back we should be able to carve out at least a few goal scoring chances of our own.

It was never going to be easy - lol

Seems that they are back in their winning ways and we would do well to secure a valuable point.

1-1 draw.

Oh good. They’ve found there form just in time for us 🫣

Didn’t we just know it, I reckon a high scoring decent game of football, but 2-4 to them in the end

I am positive for Saturday. We almost have a full strength squad. Sarr best ever for us. Eze getting up to speed. Just Wharton missing really. Anything can happen. And kamada back? (ok, should not have added that bit!)

According to clickbait Metro -(this morning)
Both Nathan Ake and Manuel Akanji – suffered fresh injury problems at the Etihad - dosent sound like either will be available for Saturday .

We are tough resilient and well drilled. Teams have to score against us when they get the chance as they get few. Meanwhile our form is good and confidence reasonable.

Man City will hog the ball but they will have scant decent chances. But I fear they will score with one.

We are weaker in attack but their defence is nothing to praise. I can see us getting one from an attack that Grimsby could have defended.

1-1.

Will be very content with that score line. Feel we can get a point against them !

Not criticizing the lad but we are due a performance from Eze. I think we'll get one too. He's a big game player.
City's confidence is higher after last night but it will still be fragile. If we get the first goal those doubts will start creeping back into their minds. Who knows?
I personally think we are capable of grabbing a point.

1-1

Sorry, but I'm going 1-3 City. They were on fire last night and I reckon Pep will keep their flames burning on Saturday. Tough game for sure and if we scrape a draw I'll be delighted.

Hi guys, sorry to bother you, I am trying to contact a keen Palace fan I was at uni with 1976 to 1979. Name is Greg Burgess (his name), if anyone knows him can they ask him to contact me on here? I am down for the game on Saturday and it would be good to catch up over a pint or two. Cheers

So, my head and heart both say draw.

For me, we are at home, had an extra days rest and look fairly solid and drilled at the back and we are well due a big game which we tend to get against city.
If we can keep it tight and disciplined it will frustrate them as the game goes on and those doubts will creep in.

Kevin de howyouspellit said yesterday after there game he was playing in pain. Will he be able to start another game 3 days later? If he does I would absolutely put a man marker on him. Possibly Mitchell and have him stick to him like glue. He is quicker and stronger and with him out of the game so too is a lot of there creativity. He will also get really frustrated and start winging and then he’ll come off.

However what we will actually get is Kamada shoe horned back into the team and harland will get a hat rick, with Kamada just mooching about like a bad smell in and around the centre circle looking like a lost tourist in Oxford Circus.

We’re pretty bad and static at defending set pieces. Ironically the stats disagree this season because we’ve conceded a lot less from corners compared to last year but it seems a bit fake, as the opposition are winning all first balls and then just somehow missing unchallenged.

Villa showed how straightforward it is to score a corner against us and we were the better team that game.

City are extremely inventive at these things. I can certainly see us blocking them out from open play, having a brave 30 minutes or even 1st half, doing all the excruciating hard work then conceding from a corner and a free kick.

2-0 City. No goal from open play.
