Just a few off the top of my head
It's a bit harsh to call Jeffrey Schlupp lazy.
The man may have had all the directional sense of a Dalmatian trying to f*** a balloon, but one thing he wasn't was lazy.
There's a difference between a Billy Bremner or Dennis Wise type, built like an angry terrier and capable of chasing a lost cause into the next postcode, and a great big 6ft 4 lump like Christian Benteke. Benteke was never going to spend ninety minutes haring around the pitch closing down centre-halves. That's not what he was for.
Personally, I still think if we'd had two players capable of consistently putting quality crosses into the box, Benteke would have scored an absolute mountain of goals for Palace. Oh wait, we did. Unfortunately, Roy was not a fan of that.
If we're talking genuinely lazy Palace players, you're looking more at the Iszak Zohar category. And I still remember Fitz Hall's performance in that 5-0 hammering at Wigan that did for Steve Kember. That wasn't a lack of ability. That was one of the most spectacularly idle performances I've ever seen from a Palace player.
And as for Tomas Brolin - good shout. He wasn't a box-to-box midfielder. He was more of a buffet-to-buffet midfielder.
