Late goals conceded

Those added on ten minutes in the final got me thinking that we haven't really conceded many late goals this season? Even Brighton with 9 men I think 12 were added on and we did not concede.

Makes a change from when we would concede often late on in games.

Unless I'm wrong and we have conceded some late ones? Would be interesting to see some stats. Maybe the consolation brighton at the amex was the latest goal?

For many years, the 'last ten' became a torrid time for us. During that time, I swear if the game was 80 minutes long, we would've been in Europe.

So much so that my brother and me would always announce "Last ten" because we knew what to expect.

I would say that this has been replaced by the first five minutes after half time. I don't have the figures to back it up but I have feeling it's a weak spot.

This season, we conceded in the 46th minute against Leicester, and in the 47th minute against Man C & Everton.
We have conceded in the 52nd, 53rd and 54th minutes against A.Villa, Newcastle and Everton.

Oh, thanks for that info, Willo.

Blimey! I wasn't imagining it then. Although it should be amended to the first ten minutes of the second half.

Just to add, that, for years, I would put a bet on at 80 mins for the opposition to 'score next goal'.

The odds were often fantastic and I won so many bets betting blindly like that. Good prices, too; better than any of the 90 minute 'to win' odds.

Were the best team in the Premier League at not conceding goals in the last 10 minutes, only 3 conceded, and that includes time added on, which there seems to be more of than ever this season.

Our worst time for conceding is the 5 minutes before half time.

This link gives a lot of very interesting information.

Great response.
