I hope you mean "attacking/creative"? Nothing wrong with the essential task those three perform very well!If we were to sign a Sunderland midfielder personally I'd rather it be Chris Rigg.
However, I wouldn't be disappointed in Jobe. Very different to our other midfielders, but certainly would be much more positive than Lerma, Doucoure and Hughes.

But I agree. To have only one creative CAM who is brilliant but still injured smacks of carelessness.
I too was not flushed with knowledge about the playing qualities of Jobe Bellingham so I had a conversation with a learned gentleman. He informed me that Bellingham's favourite position is as a box-to-box midfielder which is where he sees his future lies. Can't say I know too much about him apart from seeing him get the odd goal for Sunderland but surely any 19 year old who's had 2 seasons playing in the championship can't be too bad.
If he's named in the squad, he's cup-tiedOn Sunderland’s bench today but as the tie with Stoke is going deep into stoppage time and they are losing they have so far resisted bringing him on!
Maybe they don’t want to cup tie him for a “buying club”.
I didnt know that Eagleman i thought it was only if you played , He will have to sit the final out when we get there 🙁If he's named in the squad, he's cup-tied
Think we dodged a bullet on this one.He would be an incredible sign of intent from the club if we bought him. I don’t see it happening but I’d be delighted with it. Huge prospect and would suit us well
yes a good engine and will get better, but £30m seems massively overpriced even in these days of high prices. He's going to Dortmund for around £30 million.
On this basis Wharton must be worth £100 million.
Perhaps I'm missing something on Bellingham's potential, but to me he looks more on athlete than a footballer.
Mind you, I don't particularly rate his brother either!
They would both be found out in the premier league. He's going to Dortmund for around £30 million.
