Yeah but you're just looking at it from a buisness perspective, not the quality of the player and what they're worth to a club in terms of being competitive on the field.
If that was the case, no player over 27 should be worth more than a player under 25.
We all want the club to sell at the highest and buy at the lowest but them expectations are unreasonable. Like i said people moan about the fees paid for Johnson and Strand Larsen but they're no different to what any top flight club has paid for similar players over the last 30 years.
