Mingueza is adapting to English football, like Kamada and Yeremy before him, that takes time. He has pretty decent pedigree, in the Europa League team of the year last year which is a level few of our players have reached.

Yes he was poor against Lyon but the team he was playing for is still a PL team, and one which is struggling defensively.

I’d start him and Hughes (Kamada in the ten) for a tough fixture against Spurs but Khalaili is a positive option from the bench (as is NcNeill) if we are chasing the game and he’ll be back.
