So, the business is done and this would seem to be our squad for the remainder of the season:

Keepers: Henderson, Turner, Matthews

CBs: Guehi, Lacroix, Richards

RWB/RBs Munoz, Clyne*, Ward*

LWB/LBs Mitchell, Chilwell*

CM/DMs Hughes, Wharton, Lerma* Devenney**, Kamada**

No 10s right Sarr***, Esse

No 10s left Eze, Franca****

Strikers Mateta, Nketiah**

Out injured for the season Riad, Doucoure

* these players can play at CB in an emergency
** these players can (purportedly) play as No 10s
*** can play as a striker.
**** He can (again purportedly) play anywhere along the front line

With regard to the Summer, we should remember that we have 4 1st team players out on loan, 3 of whom are contracted till Summer 2026 (Edouard, Holding and Ahamada)

We also have the following youngsters (or not so young players) out on loan who may be suitable for a place in the 1st team squad next year:
  • Ozoh
  • Rak-Sakyi
  • Goodman (in place of Turner or Matthews?) I think Whitworth may be sold or go out on loan again
  • Imray unless the club want him to have a Championship loan
Overall, not too bad for the last 14 league games plus at least 1 cup game.

Here's my thoughts on the LWB situation.

Home games : Chilwell
Away games : Mitchell

If OG and the coaching team follow the chat on here, there you go. Selection sorted.
Unlikely. Does any team ever do this? Also I would have though that Chilwell would, if fit, be better on the break and finding the right pass and that is where we are at our best away from home

Yes, I agree it's unlikely.

I guess the point I was making is that Mitchell is a solid defender with a good engine who makes good defensive decisions. Competency in defensive players is a quality sometimes overlooked.
Conversely, we could do with a bit more going forwards at home and it will be interesting to see whether Chilwell can give defences another thing to worry about, home or away, but, for me, esp in SE25
