I think both club and player, would be happy with this offer, new two year contract for Guehi, 100k per week, with a sensible 35m release clause that cannot be activated until the end of next season.
Eze, same as Guehi, The smaller release clause offers more scope to Eze to go where he wants, and today, after Nketiah's good performance, a 4 year deal with the amount he will want, for Mateta, i cant believe any Player at the club wouldn't like to see what happens next season.

Makes sense to us as fans Lanzo but footballers are mercurial beings and will behaving pressure applied by agents who stand to profit out of transfers.
Both Marc Guehi and Ebs are religious - hope they pay attention to this bible verse: For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

I don’t disagree with this, but these type of things tend to be already in place by this stage.

I think Guehi has a pretty good idea already where he’ll be playing football next season and it’s unlikely to be Palace.
Eze is an interesting case as one story doing the rounds is that he’s not pushing to go, but it’s the club which is looking to sell.
This would certainly fit in with Parish’s utterances during the season that he was amazed nobody had come in for Eze with a strong implication that he was available.

It’s not that they are bad players in either case, but they would attract big fees to help purchase players that Glasner and the club may want.

With us now in Europe it wouldn’t surprise me if we make another attempt to tie him down, but other clubs may offer him a much better deal.

I’m reminded of Zaha’s strop about not being able to join Everton a few years ago.
They were apparently willing to double his salary and when Hodgson was asked why Zaha could possibly be tempted by mid table Everton he replied tersely, ‘Money.’

There’s a very positive feeling around the club at the moment, but agents and advisers are an unemotional bunch and money talks in their dealings with their players.
They may also point out to their clients but the FA Cup is the first major trophy in the club’s history and it could be another 100 years until the next one.

This was my POV on it, but slightly higher clause 40-45m.

Amen 🙂

I think if the club were to offer contracts with get out clauses players would be more inclined to stay though as we saw with Olise they don't mean much if the player wants to leave or has been tapped up by a CL club .
I guess the club needs to do what it has to do to protect its assets or at least get some sort of fee for players coming to the end of their contracts .

There is also a world cup next year. Why would Eze go somewhere to sit on the bench or take half a season to adjust to a new system?

I agree 45 million clause like with Olise and we get another season out of some of the expiring contracts.

Glasner is the most important to keep. Players them come and they go.

I like your thinking.

Very good point. Hope he sees this!

Good point.

Some decent Uefa cup performances wont hurt his cause either!
