ive been involved in the test events for the new everton stadium & thats very surpising…everybody expected it to be linked to the owners for ffp reasons & the toyota arena would not have surprised me.

normally i dont like new grounds, but its a lovely ground btw, banked very high tho, there will be many pissed up fan falling down those stairs!

You want to read the comments. 'Dick' & 'In' are prevalent, makes chants etc towards a club on the south coast seem tame.

I intensely dislike the manner in which stadiums are named to reflect a corporate entity that has, in some way, provided financial backing. It's just overt commercial advertising and lacks all the sentiment that football supporters identify with.

I'd hate to think, for instance, that our new main stand, when, or if ever, it gets built, is called something like the NET 88 stand. Kick out commercial profiteering and bring back club association. Better to name it after one of our legendary managers or players, or even the Steve Parish stand would be preferable.

They are going from the iconic Goodison Park to the Hill Dickinson Stadium…🥴
