So from the comments made in various places it looks like if we win tomorrow then we will put out a reserve team in the final game against the KuPar. Ollie is comfortable with extra games going into a play off as they are some way off. Looks like the reality of the current situation is starting to take over and we have to prioritise games with the limited resources we have.

Wow, that’s some statement, 20 different outfield players in those games without Sarr and Munoz?

We’re going to need some returns from injury or debutants?

Henderson/Benitez

Mitchell/Sosa/Clyne/ Drakes Thomas/ Cardines if fit?

Guehi/Richards/LeCroix/Canvot if fit/Lerma/Riad if fit?

Wharton/Kamada/Hughes/Rodney?

Pino/Uche/Esse/Devenny

Mateta/Nketiah/Casey

I guess we’ll be monitoring the players out on loan to see if it is worth recalling (Imray only recently back, Rak Sakyi has been playing, Ozoh out, no idea about Franca) - not sure of the rules of bringing players into the squad in the Conference or PL?

The Brazilian league season ended last weekend and starts again in March 2026. It would seem reasonable to assume that Franca will be coming back this month unless there was some buy clause in the loan agreement that the Brazilian club wish to exercise.

I’m hoping he cleared his head and has grown up realising he may be apart from family to chase his dream !

Vasco de Gama have their 1st lg semi-final v Fluminense at home in the Copa do Brasil 23.00 ko GMT today, so, he could still be involved with that.

No Sarr, Munoz and Mateta, the inevitable has started, but at least we’ve got a good haul of points on the board and a good chance of getting through in Europe, so hopefully we can ride it out

I think we can do without them for the next two Conference games and what ever will be will be with the EFL cup. Have to prioritise the PL this month
Some might proffer that there is no chance of us winning the PL, or even attaining a Champions League place, but of of course there is the possibility of winning the Conference League/EFL Cup.

In Brazil they play the latter stages of the cup in December ,Vasco are in the semi finals which is a two legged affair .
In January and February they play the state leagues . Then as you say the league starts again in March with a break for the WC in June and July .
So basically if he had a season long loan based on our season he wont be coming back until the WC break in June
The Vasco de Gamma manager Diniz has been using Franca as a defensive midfielder to 'unlock qualities not seen before' . How that translates is anyone's guess but seeing as he has been booed off the pitch a couple of times it doesn't seem it's going too well for him .

But at least he is playing and that is the main thing as far Palace are concerned .

I make you right, mateta needed a rest anyway, he’s been struggling recently and I think Uche showed enough against Foolham to deserve a start or two up front
I’m the same as you with the carabao cup, it’ll be nice to get through but we’ve got other priorities and I won’t be losing any sleep if/when we get knocked out

This I doubt. We need extra games like a hole in the head!

If we are to progress 3 points tonight in Dublin and another 3 next Thursday is a must.
If we hadn't lost to a gift goal against Larnarca or faded when on top against Strasbourg we would now be comfortable and afford to play some second string players tonight.

If we could only win one of the games against Shelbourne, Man City and Arsenal , I would choose the Arsenal game.
My reasoning is that we are closest to the the final in that competition.
I don't anticipate a loss to City to be a catastrophe.
A loss to Shelbourne would still leave us with an opportunity to continue in the Conference via a play off.
I may be a lone voice on this, but that's how I see it.
