In the absence of football, watching the cricket. First match England were good, West Indies were poor. Second match of three on now - 50 overs.
West Indies look better, whilst England look loose. Back to some poor fielding. Match should be closer today. West Indies will need to accelerate soon.

Joe Root just got lucky on a run out of it would've been worse. Might still be the way we're going.
They need to just play themselves in for a few overs before they start whacking it. A constant England one day issue. They don't know quite how to time their innings. I would still think England would have a decent chance currently - Root is one who doesn't whack it, and can hang around.

Good bat, less good when it came to captaincy.

You called it. A perfectly paced innings of great skill.

A masterclass innings by Root. True giant of cricket. Have watched England in the West Indies,Australia and Dubai each time Root had not let us down. Back in England next week to attend a couple of T20 matches sheme Root won't be playing
