Without a doubt. He’s been unlucky for years not to get in. Southgate should’ve used him.

Especially as it’s a position we struggle in these days if shaw’s not fit. I thought with Eze and Guehi leaving it might help Tyrick’s cause because they couldn’t possibly pick five palace player for a squad, it was hard to believe we had four at one stage, but no, doesn’t look like he’s on Herman the Germans radar at all 🤨

If they are all performing well, shouldn’t be a problem.

We have all heard countless times how “West Ham won the World Cup” in 1966. If the same happened with a core of Palace players I’m sure the rest of the country wouldn’t begrudge it…

As things stand we should probably have three current players (Hendo, Wharton, Mitchell), and two ex-players (Guéhi, Eze), going to the World Cup.

If I was England coach I’d heavily involve all five in the competition, and I’d also bring Huuuggghhes as a rotation option.

Imagine our core from last year, with Kane up top. Just needs an English version of Muñoz to make it complete. A few years ago Walker would’ve been perfect but his pace is gone. Maybe Nico O’Reilly could fill the Muñoz role.

I think Walker is still pretty quick - but probably gets a bit tired because after a hard day's training he has to get home to put the kids to bed.....
