He was only on the radio a couple of weeks ago talking about buying the old London Irish rugby club.
He was clearly struggling and apoligised at the end because he’d just had his latest chemo session

Sad news, a real force of nature in F1

Sad news about Eddie Jordan who always tried to have fun running his own Formula 1 team. I liked the fact he didn't try to hide his views and tended to be a straight talker. I was at Spa in 1991 when he gave Michael Schumacher his first drive in F1 and, although his car let him down at the start off the race, he was the talk of the town in qualifying seventh on the grid in a car that was not thought to be competitive at the time. Jordan's team has evolved into the Aston Martin team we see today.

Lovely bloke who lived life to the full. RIP.

Didn't seem close to death. Fairplay to him with his budget Jordan team. They punched well above their weight. I met Eddie Irvine but never Jordan. Thought he was a half decent pundit too. RIP.
