was very disappointed when young Jesse decided against signing a contract with us, especially as he must know he will get more chance of 1st team football.
Would have thought his dad might have explained this to him, however, since being sacked by Vieira it appears the relationship with the club has been damaged.

Read that Palace have recently agreed a £1m compensation fee to prevent it going to a tribunal. Hopefully there is a sell on % too.

Jesse going to Chelsea was a disappointment. Especially given that our Academy isn't exactly churning out forwards for first team consideration.

As for Shaun, he improved as a player as he got older. And his contribution in 2010 was huge.

I bumped into him at Ronnie Scott's just before Christmas and he was very happy to chat about his Palace days. Very friendly guy.

i strongly suspect a big signing on fee and higher wages than Palace were offering was a bigger motivation.
