Can anyone explain to me why it isn't a good idea to leave two of your quicker smaller players up by the half way line, that means the oppo need to leave 3 back, with the goalie and the corner taker that only leaves 6 players, in or around the box, compared to your 9, also the box wouldn't be as crowded for the keeper, if he gets the ball, long kick down the field.

I believe we tried that against Arsenal but they still scored. Fewer defenders to clear the ball maybe?
