Thousands of people in the UK severely injured by the covid “vaccine” are hopeful of compensation with new Health Secretary Wes Streeting looking at a new scheme.

Usual Mail wind up of the gullible.

Just because some people (dozens not thousands) are making claims doesn’t mean they are either justified or will succeed. Vaccine sceptics trying to exploit the legal system and/or a compensation scheme set up to help the extremely rare genuine cases need to be weeded out.

That’s what Streeting is doing. Strengthening the compensation scheme’s ability to deal with the claims so it can avoid being swamped by those that are speculative at best and fraudulent at worse.

I does NOT mean that thousands of people have been harmed.

Some good news at last. Finally the many thousands of people who were fed misinformation that the vaccine was "safe" and had terrible injuries can at least get some compensation.

But it will only be a consolation to those who received life changing injuries.

The tiny number of people who did suffer any "injury" were always going to be compensated. Just as with any drug or medical procedure.

This particular vaccine was withdrawn not because it wasn't safer than not taking it but because other vaccines with even fewer side effects were available.

The amount of disinformation still being spread by the anti-vaccine nut jobs is embarrassing to witness. As is seeing the Mail at their usual game of not actually spreading conspiracy theories but being very selective in the information they report so that those who do believe them can decide they are being validated.

I had one of the bad batch which was highlighted right at the start. I can feel an illness coming on. 😂
Was there really a bad batch of vaccine? Or just bad batches of conspiracy theories?

Get your claim in! You’ve only got time to lose. Who knows what you might be able to blame on the vaccines.

Oi Ralph wind it in. Look back and find a negative post from me about the vaccines and you won’t. I was one of the few who actually agreed with you!
Albeit there was a report that the first four batches of AZ were not licensed and I had one of the 001 batches.
Also I haven’t and probably won’t get any side effects, it was a TIC comment so stop jumping !!!

I realise you were one of the sensible ones over the vaccines but I hadn’t heard anything about “bad” batches, which seem more likely to just be more garbage from the anti vaxxers.

The comment about getting a claim in wasn’t intended to be taken personally but nevertheless if it caused offence I apologise.

Ok and appreciate the apology. There was a report on the first batches beginning 001 through to 004 with more numbers. They weren’t necessarily bad just not passed the official testing before they were sent for use. The net will have it somewhere.
I wouldn’t have put it in for effect and it wasn’t garbage so not likely to be that.

Ask for reparations.

In principle I am not an anti vaxer, however, I am slightly concerned about the ever growing number of vaccines that seem to be coming available. A while back I was offered one for pneumonia, and then one for shingles, and now RSV (respiratory infections). I do wonder how much of this driven by the medical establishment, and how much by pharmaceutical companies who want add to their gravy train.

Then there are Covid, Flu and holiday vaccinations, and you end up with a right old cocktail of vaxes swimming around your bloodstream. Possibly all harmless, but I do have an element of unease.

I share your concern.

It's important that people take medicine that they need, however if you have been around long enough you notice just how incredibly driven the system is now in jabbing you for 'insert reason' compared to how it was for people say 30 years ago.

For example, if you're fit and in your fifties do you really need a flu jab? I never did any of the covid jabs and I'm doing a lot of exercise and fit as a fiddle at the moment. Why was I told that I was in such danger when the percentage chance was so low.....Instead of being 'nudged' and manipulated and pressuried why wasn't I just given factual information and told to make my own mind up?

Why am I being automatically offered stuff without my having an obvious need for it? Is it just the much more nanny state we have now? Is any of it profits driven for pharmaceutical companies? Do we know what their influence is over the British system and how much is genuinely being driven by medical need?

If people are ill they should obviously follow medical advice but I'm just not as trusting as I was say ten years ago.

Me too. I had the AZ Covid jab initially as I swallowed all the info and was worried, given my heart condition. I have, for the last few years, rejected them.

I recall that safe vaccines traditionally took many, many years to develop and, whilst I appreciate progress etc, the ones being thrown out now just feel a little too quick for my liking. I did sort of go into the Covid one with my eyes open - ie I knew it was too quick but took a personal judgement call based upon the law of averages - which, with the benefit of hindsight, feels rather foolish now.

As a result, I now avoid them despite being offered different ones on a pretty regular basis.

My other niggling worry (and here I delve into the world of personally made up crazy conspiracy theory, so apologise for that) is whether a number of these ‘new’ jabs that keep being mooted are an attempt to correct stuff that may be caused by the Covid one or coming down the pipe because of it. (I have no evidence, stats, special knowledge or anything else to back that up - just my regular bad feeling about human nature and extremely low opinion of all politicians and senior civil servants).

Otherwise it all feels like they are getting a little carried away with the alleged ‘new technology’ they used to develop these Covid drugs.

Misinformation and conspiracy theories being the primary driving force of this board it’s unsurprising, if both predictable and disappointing, to see them surface again here.

Taking preventive steps to avoid medical problems is just common sense. Eating well and exercising are not questioned, so why is the use of science and technology?

If a vaccine can help your immune system develop resistance to anything known to be causing problems then we should take advantage of it, unless there is an overwhelming medical reason not to. The modern world produces modern medical problem that spread more quickly than those which troubled previous generations. We are fortunate to have modern and more effective solutions ,yet some drag their feet.

Prevention is always better than cure.

You don’t tend to listen to what people say and I, for one, cannot be arsed to try to explain people’s concerns and the motivations behind them to you for this reason, so will step away from this conversation.
