If you have 6 more children this will give you an extra 14,000 per year. That's 18,000 eligible families
I wonder what demographics tend to have large families with loads of kids?

When I am back in London I see this most in Westfield White City and Wandsworth shopping centre. I cannot remember the last time I saw a non Muslim family with more than four kids. When you see a large group of young kids the message is the woman is pumping out one a year.

Remember the three legal female immigrants fromI think Zimbabwe who cam into the UK as carers...with three adult men and 15 kids, they have hit the jackpot to the tune of thousands

Exactly, it's not promoting having British kids. It's promoting having parallel society kids on benefits. Labour thinking more votes - but it will backfire on them and society. These only vote for their own.

The one time BBC use a white family in reporting it tho....

you never watched Crimewatch type stuff then ? Nigel & Trevor starring as the Croydon stabby teenage drugs gang ? probably wearing a Palace shirt cos it would never be an Arsenal shirt in South London ?

anyhoo.....getting back to the OP,
Benefits Cap relaxed. From the same PM who cut the fuel allowance for the elderly ? wow, i am surprised he found the money from somewhere ?

The welfare system unfortunately has people who are genuine and people taking the p1ss. The Muslim situation is whickly becoming more of a problem, but they aren’t the only ones. I learned recently that for years male partners were living with the mother of their children but she was declaring herself a single mum. Man works, flash car, clothes, whatever else. Netting her benefits and his full time salary.

In fairness the Young Offenders are the typical benefits Irish of most of the time. It's literally since they started that the demographic has changed. Our government has even noticed or is at least pretending to. If they are, then it's probably even more serious than we think. It is pretty serious to become more diverse than the UK within a twenty year period. The UK has taken maybe four times that long. Extrapolate the figures and you do get genuine replacement like figures from Ireland. 20% diverse. It was one percent in the 90s.

The cap is nearly 10 years old. Despite some on the left claiming it hurt children pretty much most research indicates it has not had a negative impact so the stats don't support lifting it.

Of course governments also give tax breaks to groups they favour (married people) or raise taxes to punish social behaviour that is harmful e.g. cigarettes.

However most opinion polls show that Labour supporters aren't bothered by the child cap (activists are).

In summary Reeves has splurged £3bn on a policy which doesn't work and nobody apart from a few loudmouths cares about.

I can't help thinking that money could have been been better used to hep the poor.

was it Michael Portillo that said something along the lines of......

You try to eradicate poverty by giving money to poor people. But they proliferate and you just end up with even more poor people.

Portillo was probably echoing many other Conservative thinkers. Certainly the countries that do not have a Social Benefits safety-net behave differently. A bit more of the marriage & planned pregnancy. And less of "oh i forgot to take my pill, but never mind cos Daddy Government will step up to the mark when Wayne abrogates all his responsibilities and runs off to the disco".
