Champions League - New Format

Hat's off to EUFA and their change to the format of the Champions League for the coming season. They can always be relied on to make a dog's dinner of all that they touch.

I'm really struggling to get my head around it. Talk about complicated. However, it does appear to be another step towards a season long league format sometime in the future. A super league by stealth.

Just read the EU fa page , looks like they are trying to run the domestic leagues as well as their own competitions .
Its a takeover of the PL by Europe ,they are tapping into our wealth and will share it around the rest of Europe . The best players will start to move around Europe and the PL will just become another European league , the Sky money will dry up as more people focus on Europe . Which makes it more important than ever that we get into the zone of qualification , top ten will probably be good enough in a couple of years

Give it another couple of years and the Saudi teams will be getting an invite

I've just seen the Europa League draw and haven't an f-ing clue what is going on.

I never bother with it until the later knockout stages anyway.

This is them moving towards doing there own super league.

It's a mess.

Too much about money now not whats good for the future of the sport.
