Bobby Tambling.

Great player for Chelsea, reminded me of Greaves in his goal scoring for them. Was so excited when he signed for us. Wasn’t so good in a Palace shirt but still was great to have him here and he still scored a number of goals for us. RIP Bobby Tambling

Very sad to hear. Remember him well from the 70’s, me and my mates nicknamed him shovel foot as he always seemed to scoop the ball over the bar.

If my memory serves me correctly I believe he scored the winner when we beat Inter Milan at the San Siro stadium during the Anglo Italian tournament in the early 1970’s.

RIP

We might not have seen the best of him but he was an excellent goalscorer at Chelsea and as with anyone who played for the club it's sad to hear.
RIP.

My Chelsea father in laws favourite all time player

RIP
He was great at Chelsea. Probably unlucky not to be in 1966 World Cup squad. I think he won a couple of England caps.

Remember being really excited when he joined Palace, but most of the Chelsea players Palace signed at that time, Charlie Cooke, Paddy Mulligan had already played their best football for the ‘Blues’ before being ‘pensioned’ out to us.

RIP Bobby Tambling.

Paddy's brace against Utd though

Seeing as I will be 80 in August I'd rather you'd have said "cut down in his prime"
Apologies if my comment caused you to get a touch of the vapours, but if it's any consolation, I'm only a year behind you.

I don't know about you, but for me every birthday feels like a bonus.

Condolences to his family and friends. RIP Bobby.

I believe his goal at the San Siro made Palace the first English club to beat Inter on their own pitch.
