Axel Disasi

Never really noticed him - is he any good? He looks like a big unit but it's a bit concerning Chelsea are willing to write off about £15 m on him.

I'd only take him on loan as a stop gap. Definitely wouldn't buy permanently. Average defender who's prone to a mistake and lapse in concentration. Could do a job but for a few months but no way waste 20m and high wages on a player who's probably unlikely to improve in the long run.

Doesn't sound all that! Like Challobah's apprentice.

Funny. We had a young lad named Jake O'Brien, never really got an opportunity, he went to Everton and is doing well. 6 ft 6 in, could have done well in defending (and attacking) set plays.

Unai Emery signed him on Loan for A.Villa with the loan fee being £5 Mill.
He played at right-back at the club.
Having looked at his Wiki entry he seems capable of some good things but he only played 7 times for Villa and Rosenior has written him off pretty quickly.

He's 28 in March so the long run is actually quite short.

Agree, as a loan i'd take him. Saw a couple of his games for Villa, one at RB, and i thought he did fine.

He's not been training with the first team all season so will lack sharpness and match fitness. Will take a few weeks to get up to speed.

You beat me to it.

Age is against him. But if he excels and we have an option, why not for a couple more seasons. Look when Hughes blossomed.

Nicknamed Axel Disaster by the Chelsea faithful, sounds a perfect fit for us at the moment 👌
