As the dust settles....

As the dust settles I can't be the only one who looks proverbially left and right and thinks "Wow. We got good, didn't we?!"

This whole season feels like a coming of age to me, a stepping up, a squad full of absolutely ridiculous legit talent the likes of which I don't think we can really ever say we've had before. I was SO wrong about signing Henderson, then throw in Munoz, Richards, Lacroix, Geuhi - Sorry, is this the team who signed Neil Ruddock?! Wharton, Eze, Mateta, Sarr - Is this the team who signed Adebeyore?!

Growing up in Leatherhead I was surrounded by Spurs, Arsenal and United fans, but Palace seemed to be everyone's second favourite team. Everyone had an uncle, or some lesser favoured relative who supported us, everyone had a fond word of Ian Wright etc... but what got me as much choked up as winning was the mad broad support we got from the footballing world. Pundits rightly praising our players and coaches, everyone loving the effort put in from the HF and supporters, and beyond a few mouth breathers from Millwall, or salty Brighton fans everyone was once again a secondary Palace fan and I'm just a bit surprised at how much that meant to me.

So a massive thanks from this somewhat armchair fan to all the HF and supporters on here who have helped do their bit to make Palace everyone's second favourite team - It's been amazing to see.

Unlike some teams I guess I felt "everyone likes us and I care."

EDIT: Hoping the wife doesn't clock the reason why I'm singing "only fools rush in" walking around the house isn't because it was our first dance at our wedding, lol.
